New Fall Season

The new fall tv season is upon us once again.  Last night we pulled out our Entertainment Weekly fall preview guide to try and figure out what's on each night.

Who knew that Mondays would be so packed?!

The Event -- Will it be the next LOST?  After one episode, I'd say no.  But at least, I don't think it'll be the next Heroes.  The producers are promising us that we'll get answers and information in each episode and pay-offs to our questions every 5-6 episodes.  I'm not sure I was a fan of the jumping back and forth in time storytelling of the pilot and I hope that isn't standard for the rest of the series.  Though, I do really want to know why those folks are in the secret prison in Alaska.  I'm also not sold on the cast yet.  Jason Ritter is the likeable every man (much like his dad), but they didn't give me anything last night that really made me want to root for him.  And while, I like Blair Underwood, not sure he comes across as presidential to me.  But we'll see.

Unfortunately, the rest of Monday night - Mike & Molly, Castle, Chase, and Hawaii 5-O are waiting on the dvr.  With so much packed at 10pm on Monday nights, it'll take all week to catch up.  Though one friend already told me she's on board for Chase after it's first episode.

Tonight - Season two premiere of Glee.  Has all the hype during the first season and the uneven storytelling hurt them?  I hope not.  I think they had some heartwarming episodes last season that really hit home with viewers.  Jane Lynch is coming off her well deserved Emmy win.  And this year, Sue Sylvester gets her own nemesis in the figure of the new football coach.
